Baby not crawling yet?

Most babies crawl between 6 and 10 months, and some skip it. A pediatric PT evaluation tells you if your baby needs help, and costs nothing to book.

What it means

What it can mean

Every baby moves on their own schedule. Some scoot or roll instead of crawling and walk on time. But not crawling can also come with low muscle tone, a stiff side, or a head tilt that a physical therapist can help with early.

When to get it checked

Signs it's worth an evaluation.

If you see any of these, book a pediatric PT evaluation. You don't have to be sure first. That's what the evaluation is for. Always share concerns with your pediatrician too.

01.

Not moving around by 12 months
No crawling, scooting, rolling or pulling to stand by the first birthday.

02.

Uses one side of the body more than the other
Reaches, rolls or pushes up mostly with one arm or leg.

03.

Feels floppy or very stiff when you hold them
Trouble holding their head up, sitting without support, or bearing weight on their legs.
